You:
-Riding Jacket or vest if it is hot
-helmet (velvet are the go) (try and have your helmet and jacket matching colours)
-clean beige white or similar colour jodphurs
-white button up shirt
-tall boots, gaiters the same colour of your saddle or joddie clips to
keep your joddies from coming up your leg.
-tie or stock (if not wearing a ratcatcher)
tip;if you have long hair use a hair net
Horse:
-clean saddle, all purpose is ok for lower level (thats what i use)
-appropriate bridle and bit (check comp rules)
-mane and tail plait
-bum checker also look nice but not essential
tips:
pull and conditon horse mane and tail a few days in advance that way it is easyer to plait but still looks good and use plenty of hair spary when you plait
clean gear in advance
wash horse with glo whaT ever colour it is (eg glo white, glo chestnut etc.)
AND make sure you know your test!
